Every bedroom has its own attached bathroom and a window worth opening. All 5 come with the villa, and we don't let them separately.
The room people quietly compete for. Glass doors open straight onto a balcony where the ridge falls away in layers, best at first light when the mist is still sitting in the valley.
Warm walnut panelling, a wide king bed and a corner to sit and read in. The most sheltered room in the house, and the warmest on a cold night.
Faces the far ridgeline square-on. On clear winter mornings you can pick out snow on the higher peaks from bed, which is a reasonable argument for not getting out of it.
The largest of the four, with an emerald upholstered frame and its own balcony access. Usually the room that gets given to whoever organised the trip.
